THE FORDE-PARK ORGANISATION PROVIDES:
Professional nursing care for young, physically disabled and elderly people in two separate units in their Nursing Home.
Personal Care to optimise quality of life of older people in their Retirement Home.
Personal Care to people in their own homes, assisting them to remain independent by providing support, friendship and other services as required.
PHILOSOPHY OF CARE
Forde Park Nursing and Retirement Homes provide a safe, comfortable and supported environment with 24 hour care. The psychological, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and residents are considered just as important as their physical needs.
NURSING HOME
Our Nursing Home has a highly qualified nursing staff and it is equipped to meet a wide range of patient's needs: ?
-
The elderly who may suffer the worst of those disabilities that sometimes plague later life.
-
Younger disabled people victims of accident or some other misfortune.
RETIREMENT HOME
Our Retirement Home is equipped and staffed to offer an environment that optimises the client's opportunities for a full and active life. It also enjoys specialised nursing support from the Nursing Home should that be necessary.
COMMUNITY CARE
The Forde Park Community Care organisation has been providing community and domiciliary care in the area for some years and is a main contractor for these services to the Social Services division of Devon County Council. This service provides practical assistance to clients in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their quality of life in their preferred environment, that is, their own home. Our clients are encouraged to be as independent as their circumstances allow, and in the process our care assistants provide both friendship and emotional support. Accredited by the Social Services Division of Devon County Council.
OTHER HELP & GUIDANCE FOR PEOPLE WHO NEED CARE
Financial and other support is sometimes available through the Social Services Division of your Local Authority, for instance, Devon County Council, Torbay Borough Council or Plymouth City Council.
