Urgent News

Welcome to the web site of the Registered Nursing Home Association (RNHA for short). It contains information for nursing home owners and staff; for people seeking a nursing home place; and for members of the public with an interest in the care of older people and those with disabilities.

As more and more people live longer, the care and support they can expect to receive in old age becomes increasingly important. Whilst most people hope to be able to stay in their own homes, some experience health problems which require 24-hour nursing. That is where nursing homes play a vital role. They have the expertise and facilities to be able to offer the necessary level of care.

Here, in this web site, we explain what nursing homes do and how they care for some of the most vulnerable and dependent people in our community. We also explain the role of the RNHA and the services it provides to its members.
