Essentially, it is our own members who run the association. Day-to-day control is in the hands of the National Management Committee, which is partly elected from the National Council and partly elected from members at the Annual General Meeting. The National Management Committee is led by a Chair and a Vice Chair.
Individual members of the National Management Committee take on specific responsibility for overseeing the implementation of different aspects of policy. For example, there is a member who takes a very close interest in education and training. Another focuses on legal issues affecting nursing homes; and another on finance.

In addition to the National Committee, we have a larger National Council of members, which comprises one representative from each of our geographical branches. It is important, we believe, that our national policy-making body is well informed about the circumstances affecting the nursing home care sector in different regions.
|

RNHA members have a major opportunity to influence policy by attending and voting at our national conference.
